Shure SM58
Old Shure Sm58 microphones never die, they get rotated into the C and D rig microphones cases. So what do you really do with an old Shure SM58? Replacing these two parts, aside from cosmetic damage on the body of the microphone will transform your old beat up (and most likely stinky) microphone in to a brand new one.The R59 Replacement Cartridge is the replacement for a damaged or worn-out SM58 that you have noticed is no longer delivering that classic Shure SM58 sound we all love.
The R143G is the Factory Original SM58 replacement Grille. Lets face it folks if a microphone gives you 15 to 30 years of service it deserves factory replacement parts.
The last thing you should know is that Shure will recondition any old SM58 or SM57 you may have. Just send them back to the service department and if I remember it correctly they will call you with a price to fix them up.
